I go into every game thinking the Sabres are going to lose. If they get a win, then it will be a pleasant surprise.

Until the Sabres start putting some solid wins together, that show strong play in all 3 periods, and wins in regulation, I will keep thinking they are going to lose.

No psyc bs involved.

I really think that the Caps came into Buffalo last time thinking it wouldn't be that tough of a game for them.

Even though they played what they called the worst period of hockey they played all year in the 2nd period, the Sabres still needed OT to win it.

With the game in Washington this time, I really don't see the Caps playing like that again. The Sabres will need to play at 110% the whole game for sure.

IPW, I know what you mean. There was a time when I went into every game telling myself the Caps were gonna lose just so it would be a pleasant suprise if they won, but if they lost, it was what I "expected" so no big deal.

I was just pissin' around with the reverse psychology comment.

I actually disagree that the Caps thought it wouldn't be a tough game. I think with all the parity in the league that the days of looking past a team are few and far between. That game was simply a solid effort by The Miller and a spectacular play by Vanek. Throw in the fact that Buffalo was already starting to play a little better and that it was The Miller's first game back, you end up with a 3-2 victory over a pretty good team. I don't think it was much more than that. I wouldn't be suprised if tonight's score is exactly the same. Either way, good luck tonight to you and your Sabres.
