This is just becoming a joke now.

The Sabres will have two more players join their NHL debut list after calling up forwards Marcus Foligno and Derek Whitmore from Rochester.

Foligno is in his first professional season. The son of Sabres legend Mike Foligno has nine goals and 12 points in 27 games.

Whitmore leads the Amerks with 13 goals and 20 points in 29 games. He is getting his first shot after playing 272 games in the Sabres' minor-league system.

The Sabres, who have nine players out, will visit Ottawa on Tuesday. Foligno's brother, Nick, is a forward for the Senators.

Time for Ruff to play number one center on the top line. This is getting crazy !!

In yesterdays paper they said Vanek was playing hurt Saturday but they really haven't said what's wrong.

I just read that Vanek is probable. I hope Disney is right for once.

Yeah, Ruff said yesterday that Vanek didn't practice, but he's not ruling him out for the game tonight.

But even if Vanek does play, you know he's not going to be 100%, and that just leaves the door open for him to get injured long term.

Just shows how desperate the Sabres are right now to keep players in the lineup.

I think it's because if the Sabres lose any more forwards they have to officially rename themselves the Americans for the next game.

I want to see Pegula put his daughter in tonight's game as the goalie. If he's going to say that she could do just as good as Miller and Enroth right now, I would personally love to see it. :D

The paper was saying they are having a tough time in Rochester putting a full team on the ice.

With any luck considering there is over half the season left they can at least keep things close until they get some people back.

I know I said it the other day but it seems like a lot of teams are getting blasted by the injury bug. Not only top players but key role players.

Obviously the big name players being out hurts but IMO they sometimes over look the role players like penalty killers, grinders, pain in the ass to play against guy's and just good solid 3rd or 4th line guy's with experience.

It's got to be tough when you have players with little or no NHL exp. expected to step in and play key roles and in some cases out of position.

Most teams have a point in the season when they must go through this and timing is everything. It's not if it's going to happen it's when and when it does you need your goalies to be at the top of their game (assuming their healthy) so far the Sabres have not had this happen. Sometimes they have injuries too (like we found out last year with Miller) that the team "Hides" like in the playoffs when teams disclose that this player or that player was playing injured.

It happened with the Flyers a couple of times after the playoffs it seemed like half of the team needed surgery for some reason or another. The problem compounds itself when a team has multiple injuries because they have to "hide" or not disclose them.

In a perfect world all of the teams would be healthy all of the time but that will never happen, all you can do is try and weather the storm.

Enough mindless babbling....... Lets Go Buffalo !!!
