Ive thought he would be gone the last few days since Jerry wasn't going to make him a fair market offer. It reminds me of the Hamilton FA with the Rangers where they knew someone would overpay and they just let it happen. In no means did I want Josh to stay(thats a totally different deal) but Murray is different. I think if he was offered 7-8 million from the jump he would have been a Cowboy next season. I just don't like the go out and see what you can get and come back to me approach.
It does seem like the Hamilton deal all over. Hopefully Jerry won't act as stunned as JD did when Murray walks. There's a big difference between the two guys IMO. Murray is a really high character guy and it's not like he's asking to be the highest paid RB in the game.
Murray signing with Philly for anything less than $8 million per would be a disaster for the Cowboys IMO

Yeah if he signs with Philly for 9-10M it won't be as hard to accept, but if he signs there for 6M per I would be seriously disappointed and think JJ totally dropped the ball here.

Put this at the bottom of the other thread, but figured I'd put it in a new one. Let's see where this goes. Now Murray visiting makes a lot more sense for Philly. I think he probably signs with Philly today.

This is all Bradford.

If you agree to a deal, how common is it for a team to pull the contract offer before you sign it?

If they screw Ryan, maybe we should think about getting the most motivated RB in the league.

I think Jerry has told Murray to look at FA offers and Dallas will try to get close to matching it. I'm not sold on him leaving yet. If the Eagles give him what they offered Gore he comes back to Dallas.

They will offer more than the Gore offer and he is likely gone. Wish I was wrong but I don't think this is some big ploy by Philly, they want him and are going to sign him probably. He doesnt want to play for Raiders or Jags even for the money and JJ isn't going to all of the sudden match another teams offer, pride won't let him. Again hope I'm wrong

I thnk that is possible, but if I am Chip Kelly I make it clear that when he leaves the building they move on without him. I think Murray might just fold and sign at that point.
