Realistically, 12-14. ANY of the other QB's that are generally associated with a top 10 list would have won with Seattles D and running game last year. If Seattle wants to stay on top, they better pay the guys who got them there first. Their entire starting secondary, Bobby Wagner, at least 10 guys before Wilson. And now they are going to pay Wilson 8 figures? Good luck

Yeah, sure bro. Tell us all about it.

I want to weigh in but I'm not sure how I feel about Wilson as a QB. I don't like him so it's difficult to be as objective as I should be. I think putting him in the top 10 is a little premature. I don't know that he's even a top 10 QB. He's right around there I guess. The Seahawks team is so good it's hard to quantify his actual value. He doesn't make big mistakes which is obviously important. I guess I just don't see him as a QB that can put a team on his back and carry them if that's what is needed.

Truth hurts. I'm gonna enjoy watching SF and St Louis and the Rams their ass this year. The Seachickens are just another team that won a Super Bowl, only to miss the playoffs the next year. I understand you guys wanting to make Russell Wilson out to be Aaron Rodgers, because you are hoping for a long run since Seattle has never won jack shit. Enjoy last season to it's fullest, it's be a long time before you sniff another ring

It's funny because a chicken is a bird like a hawk, only it's much less intimidating. You sir, are clever.

Obviously he has not been around many chickens. Those birds are vicious when they want to be. I have been left bloody many of times when trying to round up some chickens. Only been attacked by a hawk once and honestly it was a lot less intimidating than some of the times I have had with chickens.

I realize I'm responding to a troll thread, but most overrated player in the NFL is Andrew Luck.

Man, I miss breaker. At least he gave you something worth responding to. I mean it was always this stupid, but far more entertaining.

All we have here is a delusional hater that follows a team that hasn't been relevant since the Rams were in LA that doesn't have anything interesting to say.

Let him spew his nonsense. I mean we don't bother to correct the mentally ill do we? :noidea:

Russell Wilson has more playoff wins in one season than a certain Dallas Cowboys QB has in his entire career.

LOL This is easily a 1,000 plus post thread.

Personally, I think that RW is a great fit for Seattle. He is only overrated by those who believe in the media driven mantra that "it's a QB league".

The OP hasn't made a compelling point worthy of a response...but he's right that RW will be over paid @ $20 mil per.

Agree...RW is a solid QB...he does his job and obviously is surrounded by exceptional talent on DEF, and @ RB...I think DCs are going to force RW to be a bigger playmaker and he seems to have the tools make more plays via the air. I forget the oft injured WR they got, but he needs to be a big piece this year for them to repeat.

QB league...it is a QB driven league imo...it's not the only route to the SB, but year in, year out, your chances are much better with a top shelf player at the position...the TB, BAL, SEA, PIT SBs teams were stronger on DEF, the Bucs and 1st Raven team, 70s Steelers were much stronger on DEF...but that blue print is not an easy one to build and win the SB...QB needs to make some plays along the way.

EXACTLY! It's nothing personal against Wilson. The problem is the delusional Seattle fans that want to place this kid in the TOP 5 QB's in the league after last years Super Bowl. Was Trent Dilfer or Mark Rypien top 5 as well? I never said a word about this kid until the Seahawks fans trolled every thread on SportsHoopla where anyone including experts didn't agree with their delusional view of Wilson. Every writer, player or GM who didn't have Wilson top 5 was an automatic dipshit. Well it's a total joke, and it's about to blow up in their face. Take a look at history, more teams miss the playoffs after winning the Super Bowl than not(can't blame the Seahawks here, lack of experience). Everything went right for them last year. In that division, with a 1st place schedule and other teams gearing up to play the champs, get ready for 3rd place and a lot of this

I usually don't resort to personal attacks but anyone who ever accuses me of watching ESPN can go fuck themselves.

That is an insult I will not tolerate!!!

You've done well...both points in bold are spot on.

Admittedly I don't see a lot of SEA games but enough to have an opinion, I guess...what makes him function is he's got the arm to get the ball there, and athletic enough to make plays with his feet, but he doesn't "try" to make plays running...they happen.

IMO...the special trait he has is when the play breaks down, he can still make a play...but like a Steve Young, or a Rodgers, he's still playing the position...making progressions, etc. and delivering the ball. As you said...the OFC doesn't ask him to drop back enough to be a top 10 QB from a #s standpoint.

I'm still grounded in the taller guy, but RW can play...This may sound crazy, but I rather RW over Brees.

Cam, but I might be a little biased.

Cam all day. Is Wilson winning a Super Bowl last year in Carolina? Are they as good with Wilson than Cam?:L
It's not even close. Every team that plays Carolina gameplans Cam first and foremost

I think it's kind of funny how the media constantly tries to claim, "it's a passing league." Yet, the vast majority of the teams that win the SB play great D and have a balanced offense.

Let's just admit what this is really about..... OP's insecurity about his team's loser of a QB.

Your'e right, my team is .500 and has been for 20 years. Here's something else thats true....they could be .500 for the next 100 years and they'd still have more rings than the Seahawks. The Seahawks have been around what, around 40 years? And one Championship to show? Hell, we are safe for the next 200 years
