Theo did a lot for the squad though. He brought home 2 titles and was a major part of the 2013 team winning it all. And his finger prints are still all over this team.

Oh no doubt. He appears to be the Jerry West of baseball GMs. Suck they couldn't work it out in Boston. What was the deal there, does anyone know?

It's also puzzling that the team, even with Theo and outside of John Leister, had trouble drafting and developing top flight pitchers.

To be fair. What team does it consistently?

Developing pitchers is probably the hardest part of the farm.

Injuries can be a big factor. Some guys just throw hard and really don't offer up Much else.

Others are lazy.

Some just physically can't get it done.

The twins had a good system for a while. Making players hit non statistical performance based benchmarks like having to be able to throw all your pitches for strikes at one level before moving to the next.

I forgot we have Leon back. I almost shit myself when I saw they called up Castillo and hembree when those 2 catchers got placed on the DL. But Blake has been playing a bunch of OF when JBJ was out.

Me too. But Blake was doing a decent job in the outfield as well too.

Hembree has been a HUGE addition.

He was sent down due to having options.

No argument, I just kind of forgot how much Swihart has played OF and when I saw they put them both on the DL and called up an OF and reliever I was like WTF, what if Vazquez gets hurt? But then I realized they still have sandy Leon and Swihart was filling in for JBJ a bunch.

Certainly does. I mean having him playing decently well in the outfield AND being able to catch
