I've been a boxscore hero, so I was wondering if anyone could give me a good rundown of the games. The articles on TSN and ESPN don't give me enough. If anyone wants to take the time to recap the games in a hockey fan style and not a journalism style, I would be very grateful.

are you mainly interested in team USA?
I can do Canada if you like.. but GNT seemed pretty thorough today.

Canada - started off really nervous in the first.... wore down the Russians rolling 4 lines and hitting hard, powerplay was huge, lucky bounce (bounce off of the backboard to take a 2-1 lead), took over in the 3rd, ended up with 40+ shots.
was a closer game than the score says, was 3-3 after two.

Looking for all games, so thanks. For some reason, I'm a dumbass and didn't see the GDT. Will read through. I guess I am kinda rooting for USA, but wouldn't mind seeing Canada win. Basically, I'm rooting for good hockey, specifically when I can watch.

I should add, there were no real stars on Team Canada today.
Ryan Ellis was really strong in both ends of the rink, but the momentum really turned on a terrific penalty killing shift by Casey Cizikas. He ate the puck in the Russian zone for like 20 seconds, and it really lifted the whole team. Huge, huge shift.
neither goalie played incredibly well.

Thanks. I saw a line about Cizikas in the ESPN article, but, as I'm sure you know, better to hear this shit from hockey fans rather than relying on that network.

I saw very little of the Canada Russia game. Just parts of the 3rd. Who can tell me, and the Pens fans of the board, including Loki, how Simon Despres looked?
