Mr. Knowitall
Figure it would be interesting to see some of the rumors you guys are hearing about your respective teams and any possible trades that may take place over the next 6 weeks...
some silly shit about Mason Raymond being available. Im ready to package Corey Schneider and Cody Hodgson to Tampa Bay for Hedman and a 1st round pick.....
You might be ready to do so but I'd be shocked if Yzerman were willing to do so.
For the Islanders it's the same old B.S.. Moulson says he's willing to take less to stay. I still think he's getting traded. There was a rumor about Boston yesterday, but it wasn't true.
Wallin + seto + 3rd for Chara
Seriously, I think that the Sharks should let some contracts come off the books in the offseason and see what they can do then. Unless you get a great offer, of course.
Unfortunately what I think will happen is that DWil makes a move for a rental bottom pairing dman at the expense of San Jose's youth and draft picks.
Also I wouldn't mind dumping Heatley.
Good. Hope it stays that way.
Kings will do nothing.
I hope the Flames do nothing (only if they get a great offer for Iggy and/or Kipper should they look to swing a deal). Otherwise, stand pat and enjoy that first round pick.
Do you think Calgary might try to trade one of their defenseman at or near the deadline? When going for the Cup teams can never have enough defenseman & the Flames have a solid group & are in need of some prospects & picks.
I think realistically the only guy they could move is Regehr (but he has a NTC). JayBo is too pricey, Giordano is too good, and the rest is pretty meh (I mean, does any team out there need Cory Sarich and what would he fetch in return?)
That's the impression I got from the Lombardi interview on NHL Live. He was saying this is a great opportunity for the team to learn how to handle adversity. He also said he knows this team cares he's just not sure how much & if they're handling it the right way.
All I know is the Kings need to get their act together. I know they don't want to trade the future away & won't but the way they're playing something needs to be done.
Sens are definitely sellers with the playoffs out of reach now.
Chris Phillips, Alex Kovalev, Jarkko Ruutu and Filip Kuba are the guys that keep coming up as definitely being shopped.
Other like Mike Fisher, Sergei Gonchar and even Daniel Alfredsson have all been linked to trade rumors. Latest one I heard was that the Flyers would be interested in Alfie if he became available. But I think if he is moved to a contender, it will be next year...not this year. Mainly because he's got 2 more years on his contract.
I suspect Chris Campoli and Brian Lee could be moved as well.
Dear Mr. Lombardi,Kings will do nothing.
