On 97.5 in Phila, an local reporter stated the Eagles have been offered a 2nd rnd pick from both Denver and Arizona but were turned down.
As an Eagles fan, I have seen both Cousins and Foles first hand. I think Foles is better of the two and has a much higher upside.
I like the Broncos, I lived in Denver for 8 years and consider them my 2nd home team. I think Foles would be great in Denver's offense. Thoughts...

I think Foles has the potential to be good, but I am not that Denver's offense is ready for the RPO, and Foles seems to need that part of the play book to be comfortable.

Foles is a bit like Keenum, the highs are pretty high but the lows are pretty low.

Elway has his head up his ass anyway when if comes to QBs. Unless Drew Brees says I'll play for Denver, odds are
Elway and Kubiak will screw this up.

I would rather not have to trade for a QB especially a possible 2nd round or more pick. To me right now it needs to be Cousins, Rosen, Mayfield, or Darnold as the starting QB for the Denver Broncos moving forward. Anyone else and I'm not going to be too excited.

Sheesh. That Seattle defense is being dismantled like crazy this offseason. Avril is most likely done with football. Questions of whether Kam comes back this year. Sherman's mom is out there saying he is gone in a trade. And now Bennett is gone to the Eagles.

That's what happens when you hand out a lot of big contracts after winning the Super Bowl. Down the line you have to disperse fast. I see no way Sherman is back, Kam has the neck injury too and Earl Thomas also seems a bit unhappy there. You have a season where you don't hit the playoffs and suddenly everyone is unhappy.

Exactly. Anytime there are a ton of big contracts on the roster the depth gets hurt making it that much more challenging to put together the type of team needed to win a Super Bowl. I really do think the Seahawks have realized the odds of them winning with the guys they have right now just are not very good. Kind of like the Chiefs this year they are having to hit a bit of a reset button to get their cap back under control. That means losing actual talent.

And like you said sometimes it is actually beneficial to get some of the negative voices out of the locker room. Those younger players look to the veterans for how to act and if Sherman is bad mouthing the organization left and right then time to get him out the door no matter how talented he is. I don't think he is the talent he was a few years ago anyway.

I’m probably in the minority but if we don’t get Cousins I’d love to see us cut Talib and use that money to pay Sherman. Sherman is a year younger I believe but I think he’s better than Talib.

Sherman needs to be in a press coverage defense. He's great in that. He would be great in any press coverage, 2. If you ask him to cover man to man you're going to fail with him big time. Gotta be smart about what type of defense you put guys in. Can't just throw a guy who was good in on system into any ole D and expect same results.

I would not be about bringing in Sherman. Coming off an Achilles injury, caused some locker room issues while in Seattle, and I just don't think he fits our defense at all. I would much rather just keep Talib if that is the direction we go.

Agree- He isn't a good fit for us.

A guy who I communicated a lot with back in his early days so woudn't complain but I feel like not a good fit for us at all because he needs to be in the right scheme.

Don't think JE trades for Foles. It would be a reminder that he drafted the wrong Arizona QB.

Would depend on how sure a thing the QB was. If there was a strong certainty that Foles could be Denver's QBotF, I'd certainly trade a second rounder (maybe even a 1st rounder). Would be no different than drafting a QB with the pick. (Except you get to see the track record of the QB you trade for.)

Still, not sure how good a fit he is at the moment. Still, he did show some great resiliency getting to and winning the Super Bowl.

Doubt he cares about that though. He just wants to win.

That being said, I doubt we trade for Foles either, but I wouldn't be "SHOCKED"

Trade talks with the 9ers on Talib went dead.

We're now talking to the Patriots as he would like to re-join the Patriots.

Sounds like we have several teams interested in which it sounds like we will be able to get a deal done and get something in return.
