Rule V protections are due this weekend, and I have not seen any discussion here about this.

We currently have 36 on the 40 man, so assuming no removals, we can realistically add protections (we want to leave at least oe open to take someone ourselves).

Some of the candidates include...

Noonan
Culberson
Correa
Quinowski
Fitzgerald
Kieschnick
Monell
Otero

I think that Correa and Culberson are near locks for protection. I would like to protect Monell, Quinowski and Kieschnick as well, but that would require 2 DFAs.

I think Whitey and Kepp are going to be non tendered, opening up six spots on the 40 man. I'd keep Culberson, Correa, and Fitz will be added. They'll have to leave a spot or two for FAs.
