It is not really new. Nor, it is something that Oklahoma is doing that other teams also havent done.

The 1st Quarter has been a real issue for Texas.

They have scored 7 points all season versus Power 5 teams in the 1st quarter offensively.
Heck San Jose State shut them down in the first quarter as well.

MD, USC, Kansas State, and now Oklahoma have held Texas offense to a zero in the first quarter.

The Horns offense is a really bad offense, but they cannot keep starting out slowly versus every single team.
