fuck off

but seriously, that's a cool fucking experience, right there. Can't tell you how jealous I am.

Looks like you held back a little in the store. I like that hat. My 2007 Masters hat needs to get replaced soon.
I honestly didn't know where to start in the store. I wanted one of everything.

The hat is amazing. I wish I had gotten a couple.

I was the same way at the Ryder Cup in Rome...there was a lot I could have thrown in my cart but I showed some restraint.

So I guess this is the best place to share my Master's experience from last Friday.

Got to go as a guest of a member. Took their company PJ down first thing Friday morning and flew into Augusta National. That place was absolutely PACKED with PJs. Got a shuttle over to the course and started exploring. Watched Rory go off one and followed him for the first couple of holes. This things got wild.

Met the member up by the clubhouse for a tour behind the chains. Went through the space he and his wife are staying in for the tournament, dropped a cool $1k in the member clubhouse, got to tour through Butler Cabin, and have lunch under the umbrellas. But here's the kicker...

Met and shook hands with Jim Nantz, Gary Player, both Mannings, SVP, and Sir Nick Faldo. When Jim greeted us with a "Hello friends" my knees literally buckled. LMFAO.

Just an unbelievable bucket list experience.

Awesome stuff foster!

Our course opened yesterday. I limped around for a lousy round scoring wise but in the sun with my buds playing golf so I appreciated it. In two weeks I'll be taking a 6+ weeks break. Cripes.

Look on the bright side, for six weeks you can practice your short game.

45° and windy yesterday kept us shivering but... hey... sun was shining and the course was wide open - in great shape... helps that it's owners also run a huge nursery that surrounds the entire course. First Michigan run of the year, played the whites (except for the 623-yd signature humble hole - which we both yanked par 5's out of the golf gods' asses... go figger.)

lol... $25 greens fees (s'like they pay us to play)

I'm not getting there in 3 unless it's downhill on pavement.

know what you mean... best I've ever done on that hole was a double bogey... that hole is an outlier, even as a Blue, to the rest of the course... drive has to carry 175 yds just to get to the red tees... so absurd that it screams "Play Me You Chickenshits"... gullible stiffs like us always take the bait.
Ron was on in 4 w/1 putt... I had a drive, 7wood, 5iron, 2 putts.
Made our day.

first round with the new grip today... 43/40... satisfying, mostly, except for those 40 putts the new grip can't be blamed for.
Missus H2S got her hair done today... we always go to dinner to show off the new doo... went to the local la de da seafood place... $$$... thank gawd she only gets her hair done every other month.

Well got a 5:45 arrival time for surgery in the morning. I’ll be able to talk golf in about 6 weeks.

So far so good. Everything went smoothly and I haven't had any of that nerve pain all day so fingers crossed. I'm very relieved.

Trying not to spike the ball on the 5 yard line but wow, all of the nerve pain is completely gone and the incision isn’t even all that painful. Took percs yesterday but haven’t needed any yet today.

Walking with no limp whatsoever. Thinking it won't be a full 6 weeks of no golf but I also don’t want to risk a re-tear.

Thanks for all the well wishes fellas.

Snuck in a late round at a muni called Auburn Hills outside Blacksburg, VA after some meetings up there. Fun little track. Weather was perfect. Greens were kinda ass but other than that course was in great shape.

44-36

7 bogeys, 1 birdie, 1 double on the front
7 pars, 1 birdie, 1 bogey on the back

Tale of two halves.
