A 7 seed getting such a huge home court advantage is ridiculous. They had 3 other regions to send them to as a 7 seed but you choose the east where they get to play 2 possible games in South Carolina

This is my beef with it. a 7 seed shouldn't be rewarded with home court.

Don't really care about how geographically challenged the committee is.

Why not send them to the west and put St. Mary's here in the East region. 7 seed should get no favors and nor should you expect any.

Truth is I'm only pissy about it, because I've seen some highly ranked Wake Forest teams get sent out to some ridiculous locations because UNC and Duke are a thing.

Marquette would probably have a comfortable lead if this wasn't a semi-home game for South Carolina. Gamecocks getting an energy boost from partisan crowd every time it seems their losing ground. Still don't understand how a seventh seed can play this close to home.

No kidding. Arizona was a 6 seed last year and we had to go to Rhode Island... Only 2 time zones and 2,500 miles away.

Then why did two Florida teams get a virtual home game, even though they were in the west bracket?

For that matter, why does Duke get what is pretty much a home game all the way to the Regionals? Or UNC? Greenville isn't that far down I-85 from the Triangle.
