I find that extremely hard to believe when you have 2-3 open teammates and you are triple teamed. Sometimes you must make an audible during a play to read the defense. Yes player #1 take the game tying shot; HOWEVER, if you are swarmed and the shot isn't there be prepared to pass it to an open teammate, because IF 3 guys are on you, that means someone else is open..

Its like reading a screen, although the play is drawn for you to cut toward the basket from the screen, but the defender sags down from the screen you must read that and step back still utilizing the screen. You are then open for a shot, and a good point guard recognizes what his teammate is doing and gets him the ball.
