I like his upside, just a little bummed we took him over Lodge and Kelvin Harmon.

Mingo shot me down when I called him Colorado's best WR early in the year, and he was right when Shenault took over the world.

Guessing we moved up and gave up our last two picks in the draft.

Seems like Elway does not value late round picks.. Always trading up and getting rid of late round picks.

Guess in a way that leaves things open for undrafted players.

It's funny cause when Winfree was being recruited he and I chatted about his recruitment. That feels like 15 years ago. He has been in college awhile, among 3 different teams. Maryland, Pitt and Colorado.

Great hands - great catch radius. You generally need an ambulance on call when he plays (all legit injuries).

A really solid person - poorly used by CU even when healthy. He will work his butt off to become a player - shows a lot of dedication to his craft.

Pretty natural during draft process. We all have our own we want.

I hope nothing but the best for Winfree to work out. A guy I use to have contact with prior to leaving Maryland. Trust me. I want him to work out in Denver.

Wow. That's some really freaking good route running for a guy coming fresh out of college. That'd be some outstanding route running for a vet NFL WR.
