25 players on offense. that would mean 25 players on defense. You have to take 3 spots away or kicker, punter, and long snapper.

6 Dlineman- hatcher, Pot roast, Paea, Francios, Baker, and Gholsten or Kearse.
8 LB's - keri, robinson, Riley, Murphy, Smith, Hayward, Ark LB, Compton,
5 Cb's - breeland, culiver, amerson, hall, porter
6 S's - Gholsten, Johnson, Thomas, Nacho, Robinson, Davis

So guys like Jackson Jeffcoat and Travido Williams will be cut for the rookie Spencer? I don't think so. One of those LBs make it. Robinson and Davis should make it b/c of special teams.

Agree that cutting Kirk and keeping Colt is insane. But I'm convinced they keep Chester, as the article says they have no depth at RG assuming Long wins the job.

that could go either way , if he takes a pay cut then its sealed he stays , but if he doesnt then you have to go another route

It also depends on how the kids develop. Me? I'm rooting for the 5th WR who will hardly play to be a guy on the right side of 30.

Unless things have changed, they are going to keep Chester. And it's not because they've got no other options, they somehow believe he's still worth his snuff.

I'm saying age is an undefeated opponent. That goes double when your job is to run fast.

Safety should be set. They wont cut Thomas b/c he is too young and has upside. Nacho has starting experience in the league. Robinson and Davis are proven special teams players. Six safeties should make the team b/c of special teams.

I cant see how the VT rookie makes it unless there is an injury. Obviously he is not going to play safety he would have to be a special teamer. So how can you have a rookie on the 53 man squad when you already have proven special team guys like Robinson and Davis?

The same goes for the Ark rookie CB. There would have to be an injury to Hall or Porter for him to make the team. I believe Amerson this year is going to be on our special team unit b/c he is now the #3 CB.

Special team core guys: Paul, Roberts, Davis, Robinson, Hayward, Amerson, Compton, Gholsten, and the rookie Ark LB. That is 9 guys right there of the top of my head.

I wouldn't count out Jarrett, he's a special teams guy too and will battle Davis and Robinson. Also he was drafted by Scot.

But Jarrett would be practice squad eligible the other guys are not. So I would rather have the experience for special teams.

i want whomever wins on the field . davis and robinson are not locks at all because our special teams is not exactly great

so i wouldnt rule out anyone at this point especially at safety because none other then the starters are locks for anything

They should be locks b/c of their ST play. Im not saying they are good safties but I will take any vet ST player over a rookie any day. The only way the 6th round rookies have a shot is if their are injuries. One of our biggest problems on ST's is Forbaths kickoffs. If that gets solved, I don't think our ST will be a issue this year.

i dont do that automatically , if jarret shows he can play and has potential at safety you keep him

Reading these early projections and I know that there's a long way to go between now and then but most seemed locked into believing that there's one person who has the steepest hill to climb as making the final 53.

That person is D. Hall......he's a 31 y/o corner coming off double AT surgeries. I believe that holding his own will not be enough for him to stay. To me the only way he stays is by having an exceptional camp and pre-season.
