Not only did she just win the NCAA's with Stanford she just won in her LPGA Tour Debut!

Could she become the next Tiger Woods?

Michelle Wie?

Or is she going to be a flash in the pan?

Well to be fair... Michelle had to "retire" basically due to injuries. I think she would have been something special

They really did an outstanding job with the Mizuho open that Zhang just won. The tourney director is a young lady in her late 20's that just 6 or 7 years a go was interning with the LPGA. The tournament put all the players in hotels in Manhattan and they took the ferry right by the Statue of Liberty to the course everyday and paid for the accommodations. The purse was something like 2.75 mil which is excellent for a non grand slam tourney and everyone got a cut. They also brought in 24 amateur's and had them tee up right along with the pros which is the first time that's happened in the LPGA.

Just a great job done by all involved and this young lady is going to be a HUGE star.

We've just seen this too many times for me to make any early predictions.

She might be a club pro in a year.

I hear ya. Michelle Wi was supposed too bee the 2nd coming and that didn't work out. Still rooting for Zhang and for more tourney's like this last one that treat the ladies like the pros they are. I thought giving the amateur's to pro treatment was a classy touch as well. EVen if they never become pros that's some memory to have

Yeah, I caught some of that. I was hoping he'd make the open but it looks like he fell short
