I never thought I’d say it, but yes I’m rooting for the Crapalanch.

I still root for Original Six teams.

I suppose the altitude gets to low-altitude teams in hockey just like in football.

I was actually cool with the 3-peat, but overall was pulling for a good series. Watching a special group achieve something crazy like winning 3 is something I was okay seeing. But that Game 2 was an absolute beatdown.

Interested to see how/if TB can respond. Hoping to just see a good game.

I have no problem with Jack
He wasn’t/isn’t what his hype made him out to be, but, I never questioned his work ethic. His problem was he tried to be what everyone told him he was. I don’t think of him as a dirty player like Perry.
Lots of players get their name on cups by just being there.

I still have a soft spot for the original six teams. I actually know quite a few people that think along the same lines.

I dont think anyone said he was a dirty player....but there is a reason he is such a huge minus player.....he doesnt really try to play d and instead uses that worthless head juke to confuse himself and lose the puck while he is out of position.

He was looking up ice to make a play and the puck would get passes him. Thinking three steps ahead but not step one. Trying to make a big play but not getting the little things done.

I'm happy for JMFJ too. His parents and agent took basically all of his money and I think he only got to keep money from contracts after he turned 30, which is crazy. He was such a defensive liability here in LA, but he was fun to watch. Especially in that 2010 Vancouver series where it was Doughty and JMFJ at the point and their PP was just on another level. But I don't think LA wins without the Carter trade. Not just because LA got Carter, but because JMFJ went the other way, and Voynov was brought up. Voynov leaving the NHL was such a crushing loss for the team (Not defending the guy, though the girl he beat up is now his wife) that they never really replaced.

But good for JMFJ. That's how loaded Colorado is, that they could win with him on their blueline. Had to win some games 8-6, but got it done for sure.

I feel like I have to give a shoutout to how insane that time period was for LA. Won it in 2014 and then Stoll gets caught with all those drugs at a pool party in Las Vegas, Richards gets caught smuggling drugs in from Canada (And LA immediately terminates his contract), and Voynov beats his girlfriend up right in the wake for the Ray Rice fiasco in the NFL, so NHL made a real example out of him. Remember they were even talking about once he gets out of jail that immigration was going to talk to him? So he just peaced out for Russia and never came back. Wild stuff.
