Yeah, this thread has certainly gotten off topic.

I think the point though, is that arm strength is not nearly as important as some make it out to be. You can't be a successful NFL QB with a noodle arm, but you don't need a cannon either.

What you do need to have is sublime decision making skills, accuracy, leadership skills and the knowledge to be able to read defenses. All of these things are far more important than a rocket arm IMO, yet we get seduced by the Colin Kaepernicks of the world every draft season because of their physical skill sets.

As said before. .I think the thread got so easily derailed becuase arm strength means next to nothing, both fantasy wide and in reality.
No one would argue that Jeff George and Jamarcus Russel didn't have some of the best cannons ever. .but they weren't good QB's (okay George wasn't too terrible at times)
The responses kinds of weigh out how most dint think it's even worth mentioning, let alone debating..
For the record my guys are

J. George
J. Elway
And everyone else.

If there's an active QB who can throw it harder or farther than Vick, I'd like to see it.

Flacco has always had a big arm, so he'd have to be in my top 5.
Stafford = arm cannon
Cutler - no details needed
Rodgers - seems to be able to heave it far as hell, hits WRs with fireballs on cutbacks/crosses

Not sure who I'd put at #5. I feel like I have to be over looking someone that can gun it. I'd like to see a contest with the youngsters - Cam/Luck/RGIII/Wilson/Kaep/Geno - whichever throws hardest out of those, I'd take as my #5
