Hodgkin's lymphoma is treatable, especially in its early stages. The one-year survival rate for all patients diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma is about 92 percent. The five-year survival rate is about 86 percent. For people with stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma, the survival rate is lower.

right but thats the thing. Is it hodgkins? is it another form of lymphoma? They mentioned squamous cell.......which is very curable, BUT usually if in the nodes its metastasized...... need more info

Squamous cell carcinomas may appear as flat reddish or brownish patches in the skin, often with a rough, scaly, or crusted surface. They tend to grow slowly and usually occur on sun-exposed areas of the body, such as the face, ears, neck, lips, and backs of the hands.

It can be both. Skin cancer can move to the lymph nodes if not treated early enough. Once in the lymph nodes, all bets are off. Sounds like they caught it early enough.

I think this was my point earlier. They are kinda saying it’s in the nodes, so I’m thinking it did metastasize....... again prayers for him and his loved ones

I am not a doctor so I am not going to take a guess or have an opinion about it. Just say prayers for the coach.

I did think of Lombardi too. Then my next thought was RR is not on that level. Still it is cancer just like it was for Coach Lombardi.

Our new beginning maybe taking a left turn.

You know, it seems like we are just a cursed organization from our ownership all the way down to our last string water boy. As for RR, he is highly respected throughout the NFL and did so many good things for the Charlotte community while coaching the Panthers. May God make his cancer go away, Amen.
