holy shit. RIP Giant Killer.
I wouldn't put it on concussions, but I do wonder about his mental fragility.
rest in peace, and thanks for your time in Vancouver. you were a beast.
edit: here's an older story on his 'leaves of absense'

I don't know a lot about the situation. Just connected: tough guy, lash out at fans, young death.
local radio News1130 has reported that he took his own life.
They have been wrong before on Canuck news, but he does have a history of mental vulnerability
just sad, sad, sad.

Sad. Depression is a monster, and one not a lot of people take seriously or understand. It's more than just feeling bad.
RIP, Ryp.
This is so very true. My buddy that passed away a few months ago went into a deep depression after his father and uncle died. He went back to drinking after being sober for eight years so his wife left him.
She found him dead a week after they split. The coroners report said he died of heart failure I honestly feel the depression contributed to it.
43 you are spot on and if anyone has a friend or family member you feel is headed down this road don't ignore it, try and help them.
