I think you’re confusing this with Batman & Robin. Batman Forever was Val Kilmer and the Banipples weren’t a thing until the Clooney movie.

Also probably partly why it bombed so bad. Didn’t make sense to do this given the plot.

Schumacher is an interesting director. He had some really good films(Flatliners, Time to Kill, Lost Boys) but mostly his career was full meh to bad stuff. The Batman movies were a real nadir though.
