Sauter died Friday at the age of 71.
Sauter started in 76 races and had 4 top 10's over his 14 year NASCAR career.
He was a big player in the development of the IROC series.
He was the father of 11 including current and former NASCAR drivers Jay Sauter, Johnny Sauter and Tim Sauter.
He was never a household name, but he was a big player in the racing community and he will be missed. May he RIP.
