Former Yankees, Mets, Devil Rays, Braves, Brewers and Marlins passed away at 55 years of age this week. He'd been battling cancer.

Cancer takes another life entirely too early. As a person who is both a cancer survivor and has lost loved ones to cancer (my wife died about 9 years ago), it is a horrible disease. We need to find a cure for it.
Rest in peace, sir. You were fun to watch.
