Way back in the 90s when I first read LOTR I always thought that if they made a movie of books that DOnald Sutherland would be a great pick to play Gandalf.

I've always said he has my favorite voice of any actor. Sad news. Good excuse to watch one of his movies.

went and looked at his IMDB and he has 199 completed acting credits and 1 in pre production. I hope he got enough filmed to make that 200.

56 different TV Series TV movies but I dont see that he ever did more than 2 episodes. just guest stars.
