Rick Comley To Retire

I know most of you don't follow college hockey, but Comley is a pretty lofty figure in the state of Michigan and around the CCHA. He is one of the longest tenured, most successful, and well respected coaches in the country... I'm a Michigan man myself, but I was happy for Comley and State when they won it all a few years back, and it'll be a shame to see him go.

Just thought I'd throw that out there for the few college hockey fans on the board.

Well he's been at it for 38 years, and won 2 championships with two different teams... maybe he's just done all there is for him to do.

I certainly don't think he's leaving because of the way the season is going.

I would hate to think it was a forced retirement...you know, bad season, school tells coach to retire "or else"...

I don't think MSU would do that, though. Probably just a case of "No worlds left to conquer."
