If the Kings don't need his minuscule cap savings, he will be back March 3rd. He is still better than Andy Andreoff.
Otherwise he will be back if the a Kings win the playoffs

I don't know if I should laugh or cry. I feel for this guy, but i. The end it's all up to him. If he's mopping because he was sent down, he is simply digging a deeper hole.

The Kings will be able to recall him without being claimed when the POs start with no cap ramifications, I'm sure they are hoping his game improves so they can justify doing that.

If you read the article though, and I've alluded to this in the past, is that he simply is not that 2-way center anymore physically. He is only 30 but has some hard miles on him because of the way he plays - dude is small but played like a power forward his entire career and those guys have short career spans.

Physically the body simply cannot endure that much so fast.

maybe the Kings should by him out even if it is a Cap hit for the next 10 years. I believe that they spread the hit out over twice the length of what is left on the contract. I'm not sure what the Cap hit for him is, but by buying him out they make more room under the Cap.

It means that the writer of the story doesn't know what is going on.

I hope they bring him back up for another chance to see if that puts him back in the right state of mind. Im sure its not easy for someone of his style to be where he is now.

I think if the Kings make the playoffs - and they are fighting for their PO lives, let's not kid ourselves - Richards will be recalled. He won't be able to be claimed and there is no cap during the playoffs.

Shore is getting experience in the 4C slot, but come playoff time I'd rather see Richards in there because of his experience.

I read somewhere ( can't find it) that the Kings sent Shore down and recalled him so if the Kings don't make the playoffs, Shore can play in Manchester.
That leaves them with 3 call ups.
