In addition to having surgery to repair his ruptured right Achilles shortly after suffering the injury, Sherman had a recent cleanup procedure performed on the same part of his left foot. He told reporters last month that he expected to resume running in mid-April or early May and said he could be "fully ready to go" by minicamp in mid-June.

Sherman ruptured his achilles tendon and that is usually a death sentence for DB's.

Bingo! Sherman already indicated that he wants to play for a contender so that likely means he won't be talking to the Skins & certainly not considering play for them on the cheap.

As per this article he is supposed to meet today with the 49ers & may get a deal done w/ them shortly. The article also mentioned six other teams that expressed interest and the Redskins were not one of these teams.

Seriously - do some folks have to make a post that the Skins need to pickup virtually every player that becomes available via free agency or trades? As they say - sometimes the moves that you don't make are the best ones.

NP with you posting this thread. I am just clarifying that it is extremely unlikely that Sherman signs with the Redskins & certainly is not going to sign a cheap deal with the Skins. A lot of this is clearer with the article that I posted that just came out today.

& also BTW I am just trying to get people to open their minds a bit & stop always thinking that the team always has to go after big name, high $$ FAs. That was the Cerrato way (the team does it a bit now but to a much lesser degree) & when used almost exclusively doesn't work especially for this team.
