Just perusing these threads.....we haven't had a discussion about Robert in weeks. He has been very quiet this offseason. It appears he has taken the advice of most and focus on preparing himself to play as opposed to promoting himself to the outside world. I, for one, take this as a positive. He is learning from his mistakes and is adapting. Lets hope that this is also true with his play in the pocket. IF he can play to the level he did his rookie year, all bets are off for this team. I believe he can and expect to see a rejuvenated RG3 this year.

We won't know until the season what this means. Perhaps he is studying. Perhaps he is working out...Perhaps he's just enjoying his time with his wife...Perhaps the endorsements have dried up as poorly as he played last season.

Not sure about anything else, but I am certain the endorsements are pretty much the same - all you have to do is watch TV to confirm that. Beyond that - endorsements take up very little time. You must underestimate the time that is required for someone at this level to rehab a very major injury. In addition - the guy was planning a wedding. Please don't make it appear as if RG3 was just "goofing off" last offseason. Perhaps he was misdirected, but I would never question the guy's work ethic.

I believe you're right about the endorsements, however that "new car" luster has definitely worn off. During his freshman year his presence was in demand everywhere. He was the new kid on the block, the face of the new guard. Again you're right in stating that a horrible second season and I'll add the build-up of the newest wave of QB's eligible for this draft, and the emergence of R. Wilson leaves a lot less need to report his every move, or word. Let's not misunderstand what's happening though.....THIS IS A WONDERFUL THING....to be happening to Robert and the team. How his third season unfolds will go a long way in determining both his and the football teams futures.

Don't know that many disagreed with you. Where we all had issues was with what he has done in the past, not what he was going to do. We all said this was what he needed to do and I take it as a good sign.

I'm glad things are quiet on the RGIII front. A year ago, the offseason was a media circus and RGIII was the star. I'm not going to talk about it. Redskin's Nation knows all about it. The bottom line is, I believe he's matured. I also believe he's doing his due diligence, which a franchise QB should do. Of course, that would be studying, working out, etc. I believe RGIII will be back. Do I believe he'll repeat his fantastic rookie year? No! However, I expect him to have a much better year than he had, last year.

I think he's having a similar off-season but this year people aren't as worried about his every move.

so let me get this straight , you are worried about RG3's past (which you misread ) and yet feel he will be ok in the future but snyder 's past is pretty condemning but he cant change?

do we have a standard here anywhere ?

i will say it once again , Rg3's questioners , haters CSI wanna be ers have overblown this crap from the get go

Rg3 is a good kid and has good character and always has . the rest is scapegoating by the doom and gloomers who feel negativity equates to being smarter . it doesnt

expectations for him last season were simply foolish and when he didnt walk on water most people bailed like rats on a sinking ship

i get it , it the usual lame fickle fan syndrome

most people do the right thing everyday . sure they have skeletons , everyone does , but that doesnt mean that everything is a CSI conspiracy from a behind the scenes puppet master and every stinking move or word that comes out of someones mouth has an ulterior motive

god forbid that what you see is what you get is the norm which it mostly is :suds:

Wow, where do I start. You know what, I'm not. We have beat this horse dead. No matter what we say on this subject, you will twist it because in your eyes RG3 never has and never will do wrong. And to compare snyder and he is laughable.

didnt say he didnt do anything wrong i didnt twist anything

i addressed what i said he would do (which he has so far ) and how much flak i took for saying he would (not just from you )

you guys attacked his character after a losing football game and made that HIS standard . you ignored his teammates actions and statements to the contrary

then i was told i had my head buried in the sand and my world view was stupid and naive

yet in the end he is doing what i said he would

however during that debate that was ignored

i bring it up because for all the selfish, diva, teammate bus throwing under , coach firing, owner hip pocket having , word playing , conniving things RG3 did(nt) do he is simply focusing on his job

his character was attacked routinely and most if not all is/has been proven to be false

and instead of saying , hey perhaps with the passage of time we were a little too hard on him all you have are dead horses

so wash rinse and repeat about my blindness to Rg3 if you feel better about it but in the end his character doesnt appear to be an issue . his lost time in developing mechanics , studying defenses and simply learning the game are issues

dinners with snyder at chilli places and my wrs arent getting open or TV commercials arent
