Wilson doesn't believe in signing free agents so, this has never happened to me.

Trades Wilson has been pretty good about, Thornton and Boyle most recently. UFA signings not so much (Burish, Huskins, Colin White).

Although I was stoked when we signed Rob Blake, even if he was over the hill I really like him. He helped Vlasic learn how to play with a bit of an edge as well.

Yeah, the Hossa trade was when I saw the true potential on the Pens. It really was their coming out party in the playoffs. They turned the corner with that trade, haven't really looked back since (sans injuries causing regression).

Worked out ok.

Not gonna lie, that was probably the first Stanley Cup I was really into. The previous one with TB/CAL I watched, but I wasn't *into* it. And man I pulled for the Canes hard. Of course Ronnie Francis had a hand in that (merely because he used to play for them) and Recchi...but Doug Weight was my second favorite on that team.

Not NHL related but I was excited when the Steelers picked up Duce Staley. He was beat out by Willie Parker in his 2nd year and was hurt a bunch. Havent thought about that in many years. No reason too until now. Wish I hadnt. Thanks!

Meh, we got Seguin so no big deal. I did feel when we got Peverley and Kelly that a parade was imminent although I don't know if they were hot UFA's.

Yea it would be nice for them to try a FA once in awhile. Dumervil would have been nice. I see more 9-7, 8-8 seasons in the near future depending on what we see out of Baltimore after the recent dismantling. Hope I am wrong.
