You are correct. I should have said above average. Either way he is a D2 qb. He played weak competition. In the past 20 years, how many d2 qb's were drafted in the first round? The only one I can think of is Flacco that is worth a shit. There may be more, but trading away so much on a giant "if" is questionable. So absolutely untrue. Many experts like Mayock had him as the #1 rated player coming out. Thats just complete nonsense. An average D2 QB, yeah... sure

My schtick. Lol.He was beyond above average too. I know your schtick is to rip everything Philly does. Im not sure why... but thats your MO. There are 100+ teams, so your saying there were about 25 QB's that played better then him in his division. Ummmm... NO! Every single scout in the country had him going in the early first round. He has a cannon arm, 6'4 245 pounds. He can make every throw and is very mobile. Does that mean he is going to be a star? No. But he was ranked on EVERY scouts top 10 and Mayock (Who I like the best) had him as the number one player coming out this year. Phil Simms, Ken Obrien, Doug Williams, Tony Romo, Steve McNair, Joe Flacco to name some lower level guys who played well. To say he was average or above average in his division is asinine.
I like Wentz, wanted him in Dallas but not with the 4th pick in the draft. As for being highly rated JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf says Hi.
And a million more. Wentz might be a colossal bust but he could be very good. No one knows. It was a weak QB draft but on paper he has everything you want in a QB... but so did Russell, Leaf and many others. Time will tell whether Philly took the right gamble or not. It was great getting back the 1st but are recent 1st rounders have been awful (Marcus Smith, Nelson Agholor, Danny Watkins).

Yep, this is a bit weird. Most would think Daniels who was #2 would be named the starter, with Wentz as #2. In a few weeks if Wentz I'd healthy and playing as well as Daniels anounce he had won the job. Naming Wentz now puts pressure on the mid and pissed off Daniels.Kind of unfair to Wentz to be thrown to the wolves with little notice. Eagles claimed they didn't want to do that with him. He also missed most of training camp. He had been told he was third string up until the trade. With a reworked OL, RB's beyond their prime, WR's very suspect, he's got a lot of obstacles in his way.
Daniels is pissed and again....philly fans will be just great with the losing.Yep, this is a bit weird. Most would think Daniels who was #2 would be named the starter, with Wentz as #2. The Eagles needed to make this move to get a franchise QB in place. Now what they gave up might be a stretch but if Weintz pans out and he's able to get them back on board as SB contenders then everyone will forget about what they gave up. The point is with Bradford the Eagles would be spinning their wheels every year he would have been their starter, 8-8 7-9 9-7 type years. Side note, Howie should send a thank you card and a case of beer to the Vikings GM.
Wentz
or
Bradford, pick #8 and your a 3rd round pick
