Depth, versatility, inexpensive, competition at camp. He did play better down the stretch which is not saying much. Makes me think a Center is happening in the draft.

He doesn't look like he thinks he's a camp body. And isn't taking Kelly at #21 a bit high? I thought he could be had in the second round? If not, there's Zach Martin's brother as well.

No way Kelly lasts to our pick in the 2nd round. Martin should be there but Kelly is a better player. I have seen Kelly mocked in the late first early 2nd. IF Ribeye is starting for us in 2016 I would be upset.

Well, I'll take your word for it that Kelly won't last until the second and that he's better than Martin. I doubt we take a center that high though given our needs on the d-line. I do think we'll pick a center on the second day, however.

It means neither of the things you stated. It could mean he beat out the competition and improved. Imagine that...a player improving.

Of course it does. If we draft a center in round 1 or 2. that player would be starting from week1 or mid season. Plus if Litch is kept on how does Ribeye make the team? He should be just a camp body.

Nobody is saying he shouldn't be a camp body. When are you going to get this through your head? Players should be one thing all the time and end up being something else. Maybe Ribeye outplays Lich in the preseason and the rookie is not available...maybe Ribeye plays too well to put the rookie in when he is healthy.

Maybe they move him back to guard and your boy Kojo is cut. Who knows?
