Breaking Burgundy's Ben Standig reports the Redskins have shown interest in impending free agent Kenny Britt.
CSN Mid-Atlantic's JP Finlay is also hearing the same. Britt is coming off a career season, posting a 68-1,002-5 line as one of the only bright spots for a 4-12 Rams team. It was Britt's first 1,000-yard season of his eight-year career, and he'd reportedly be interested in the Redskins if Kirk Cousins is brought back. DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon are also free agents in Washington. Britt is from New Jersey and would likely be very interested in a return to the East Coast.

Here's one small problem with the Britt-to-DC rumor. He won't come here if Cuz walks. He will be very interested if Cuz stays. If some here have their way on kicking Kirk to the curb, you can kiss Britt goodbye.

Uncertainty surrounding Kirk Cousins impacts Redskins pursuit of free agent WRs

Britt is a less talented, and certainly less tough Pierre Garçon. According the article, PG won't play for less than what he made this season - $8.1, and Britt is hoping for multiyears between $8-12 million.

Which begs the question, why would you pay more for inferior talent?

For the record, if we managed to resign Garcon and Signed Britt... I could be ok with not resigning Jackson.

Britt isnt going to be the burner threat. BUt his size could help in the redzone for sure.

YES! Britt is notorious for breaking a bone or tearing an ACL, and I don't mean on an opponent.
I'd feel safer with Smith-Schuster? something like that...the WR from USC who is being grossly underrated.
What a steal in the 2nd round. And for cheap!

Bullshit. Britt will go to the highest bidder as most FA do. I rather have Garcon for the same money or eve n cheaper

Aside from me trusting this article more than a poster here, the relevance of this piece is that Britt is basing his decision, at least in part, on Cousins. That's the rub in the article.

How does Doctson (sp?) fit in ?

Dude has to be able to make it through off season work outs first, then we can figure if he can fit in.

no way you can justify signing Britt to a big long term deal when he can't stay healthy and this is his first 1000 yard receiving season in his 8 years playing

With everybody freaking out about injuries maybe we should sign him. Could get him at a discount. Although I'd probably rather keep Garcon and jackson if we can.
