Redskins @ Chargers pregame thread

Same/similar offense as Denver, and they also play a 3-4 which seems to have limited Robert's designed runs this season.

Legit make or break our season this game. I'm holding on to a thread for post-season contention, and a win here has me believing we'll be 5-5. Hopefully the D can force some turnovers because I don't think we're scoring on many long drives this game.

Another point, I do like that it's a West coast team playing a 1 o'clock game (albeit with Daylight's Saving) since there has been tons of statistical evidence to show that teams doing this have a disadvantage and a life-time losing record (won 43% of the time). Flip side, they are coming off a Bye. Really don't know what to expect but I'll be at the game.

I like your prediction of winner...but Davis is NOT being activated....We are not gonna activate a 4th TE that does not play special teams!!!

Lol Krush with your bold prediction. I guess you and I are the only ones that see Fred Davis as having a shot of playing this Sunday... The points brought up against his playing totally make sense but, I still see him as having a shot. One thing that has not been mentioned is that Paulson has not been completely healthy and hasn't played as well as usual as a result. That opens the door for Davis, albeit a very small door.

I see the Skins winning this game but ONLY if we have a successful running game and balanced run/pass ratio and sustain drives on offense. Griff has to have an efficient day and TAKE what the defense offers, especially if its only a short pass or checkdown. Bootlegs will probably be minimal cuz of the 34 D, but quick releases are critical to protect him.

Chargers D has not given up a TD in 11 quarters. And Rivers is having a banner year. This is a good football team but not unbeatable. There has been success with mobile QBs against this team. They had difficulties containing Pryor and Locker. I don't want to see Griff running like mad but I hope the game plan exploits a mobile pocket and taking the edge if the opportunity presents.

Our D needs to keep us in the game, just as they have for the past 3. STs play like last week, minus the Rocca shank. The lack of penalties last week was very encouraging. They need to keep that up as well.
