never doubted it. said i don't trust either of them so i was fine with either one of them getting the start.

mrazek was everything he's been hyped up to be in this game. but we've seen this from him before. a great game followed up by a terrible game. let's see if he can string some consistent starts together

What's nice is, Mrazek could shit the bed next game and we'd still be ok - we've already stolen home ice advantage, so a win next game could be considered "optional" in a way.

So true. But I can't count how many times Wings fans have seen this the other way around in past playoffs. Wings outplay, outshoot, outhustle Team B, only to run into Team B's hot goalie. Nice to see it reversed.

It's not simply the number of shots, but the number of quality shots taken. While Detroit certainly did not play at the top of its game, they limited TB to only a few quality shots. The rest were softballs being tossed at the net, which an NHL goalie had better stop.

Detroit will not play that poorly again in this season, but at the same time, I certainly expect TB to be much more focused tomorrow and getting better scoring chances. Assume Mrazek will start tomorrow, so he better be ready and on top of his game. Can't help but think that Bishop is already feeling the pressure after letting in a soft goal and overall 3 on only 14 shots...
