There's some proof that the economy of the Western World is improving, at least in the case of the NHLOA. The unemployment rate in the USA is almost at 10%, but for the NHLOA it is going in the other direction. in observing a couple of questions on the application to join this prestigious organization, "can you skate?", "do you know what this disk is used for?", and "are you able to raise your hand above your head", some of the new entries gives one the idea that to get employment in their association is much easier than it once was.
Case in point, is in tonight's game when the 5 minute penalty for a hit to the head of Hoskins by Backes seemed to be unlike what those who reviewed the tape saw, but those couple of the nut cases from the NHLOA payroll list swore that they indeed saw Santa flying by, and identified at least 7 of the 9 reindeer as a verification of their sighting. Officials from the DEA have been going through their travel bags looking for stashes of LSD ever since the game ended.
