I don't think he wouldve ever been a Major League catcher.
And now he can't run from here to there without destroying his ankles.
Hopefully he can find a position that suits him and get healthy, because he can hit.
That's just it, I don't think the intention was for the move to ever be short term. There was a logjam at catcher and the Sox wanted Vasquez and Swihart to develop simultaneously. Had Blake never hurt himself, it may have worked out for him.
