Red Sox sign Cuban star Star Castillo. They will pay 72 million over a 7 year period. Phillies made a bid but fell short. The contract will be back loaded to avoid luxury tax. If he pans out this will be a smart move. IMO.

joining cuban star cespedes in the outfield. the redsox are a cool organization...the other end of the spectrum from the way the phillies operate. while the redsox make all these moves, the phillies announce that ryan howard will be there first baseman for 2015 and grady sizemore (boston's garbage) will get serious consideration for the 2015 phillies outfield. lol

With all the contract dumps at the deadline it was obvious they were loading up for a big signing and bringing in Cespedes only helped their cause in getting this guy to sign on the dotted line, the phils never had a shot!
