I hope it works! Other teams have got players to come back but I think it will be a little harder since we will have a new coach.

Would like to have them both back. Justin Smith is a bit easier. For him, it is just a matter of whether he wants to come back for another season. Gore is a bit more complicated as the 49ers need to come to agreement with Gore over a contract amount and that amount needs to work with the cap. Gore will probably also have to agree to a reduced role as I suspect the 49ers will be transitioning to Hyde.

IMO both might be gone depending on who is the HC. They might be the bench mark of making it to the playoffs. If either wants back in to the 9ers then they feel the 9ers have a chance to make it to the Dance. Follow?

I'm sure Justin can still help this team, but IF Carradine showed enough potential, lets move on.

Unless Vernon had a hidden injury no one knows about, lets move on. He didn't look good at all, even his speed isn't there.
