My ever changing point of view:
Game 1 - A GREAT team that came out flat, didn't adjust properly to a new offensive scheme. An AVERAGE Defense showed its weakness, particularly with rookie players on secondary. Optimistic about season down the stretch and ability to reach 10 -6.
Game 2 - A GOOD team that underperformed against a very high powered offense. A POOR defense, beginning to think we might be in real trouble on this side of the ball... Still optimistic down the stretch...maybe 9 wins...
Game 3 - An AVERAGE/MEDIOCRE team that is underperforming in all phases of the game. A PUTRID defense that can stop nothing. Probably due to talent, scheming and coaching or some combination of all three but who really cares? They are epically and historically bad.
Did see improvement on offense, but afraid that by the time we can compete with other teams, it will likely be too late for this season. Still optimistic that there CAN and WILL be improvement down the stretch, but don't see this as a team that will compete this year for anything other than a .500 season. This is a bitter pill to swallow, but seemingly more realistic than my previous optimism...
Better see a win this Sunday or all hell is about to break loose.
