dudes we are giving up 500 yds per game , 200 rushing , 300 passing `1023 for the year and 35 points per game

what needs to happen is our players need to make plays , fred davis drops a pass and it gets picked skins wrs are dropping ball(leading the nfc ) and our rb starts out with 2 fumbles resulting in a TD and a safety

and last but not least our staff needs to cut Rg3 loose in that read option a few times early

The question is: who decided Griffin shouldn't run the read option? The coaches, RG2, Dr. Andrews? He is not even running rollouts and that is a staple of the Shanahan offense.

Shanahan is saying that because the redskins are down by 109238102938109283 points by the end of the first quarter, they can't run the read option stuff.

It's hard to argue with that.

I mean, the redskins have been spectacularly awful in all phases of the game for both first halves. They haven't: tackled, blocked, passed, caught passes, taken care of the balls, played penalty free, or made any adjustments, whatsoever.

At this point, if the redskins aren't down by more than 10 by the end of the first quarter vs detroit, we should consider it a minor freakin' miracle.

A perfect storm of maladies: Haslett's inability to make quick adjustments, combined with LFB's sudden losing of multiple steps, the lack of overall speed in the lb corps, and coverage ability in the back four, the ability of offenses to pick on any number of weak links: the turnstile-coverage tandem of David Amerson and Baccari "Where's he Go?" Rambo, a very slow LFB (sad, really), or MeAngelo Hall's terrible cornerback mechanics combined with his increasing age.

Of course we should run some "read-option." RG3 excels at it and his speed opens up other players.

Kirk Cousins is a better pocket passer than RG3.

RG3 running the "read-option" is a better QB than Kirk Cousins is as a pocket passer.
