I read a lot of comments about him in the game day thread, but didn't want to clutter up the ball game discussions with this.
I saw some folks saying that he needs to get out of coaching for his health. As someone who has had seizures in the past I can tell you that his job has nothing to do with his health/seizures. He will have seizures whether he is working or not. They just happen. Now, if his job was as a school bus driver, then I would suggest a career change for him. But coaching a D-1 program does not put anyone in danger should he have one.
Every one of his players has the ability to leave the program if the seizures bother them, yet none have done so. It really is a small issue that media makes a big deal out of.
I don't know why he has them but I'm sure the info is out there explaining why. I have mine due to scar tissue on the brain after I had brain surgery about 15 years ago or so.

Like me, I am sure Coach Kill makes the best of it, and probably even makes jokes about it on occasion, at his own expense. He is not a leper. He doesn't need to be exiled from the ranks pf coaching. Just a little understanding from the people in his program, and he has that for sure.

I just think it honestly hurts the overall perception of Minnesota Football more than it already is hurt just for the fact that it is Minnesota...

Kids from around the country have gotta be thinking "do I really want to put my possible chance to get to the next level in the hands of a guy who is having seizures every day?"

Now, like you explained, seizures aren't what people think they are. But beings that most people don't know what they are, I think it hurts them recruiting wise.

I just want him safe

That has to be scary to see for young kids and make me wonder is it worth it

But if he says he can handle it then find but damn it's happening a lot now

It's Minnesota. Like you said. Nothing hurts them worse than that. Hell, a coach having a conniption on the sidelines might draw in a 3 star kid just for the show.

I have heard he suffers from epilepsy. With regard to the rest I think most of the issue is that coaching is a very stressful job, and stress can induce seizures in susceptible individuals. Most people just think he would be in much better health if he had a less stressful job.
