Disappointed figured you guys would discuss his value now.........

Mixed bag here......two games is nothing, and harbaugh says he will be the man when he comes back......

But what if pierce who they wanted to get more involved goes off........

He killed my fantasy team last year. No way I'm picking him this year even before the suspension

Even with Kubiak in town, I'm not sure if I'll bite. 5th, 6th round... maybe, but I don't know. Also, I don't see Pierce "going off" against the Bengals and Steelers... but stranger things have happened!

If he falls far enough to be my 3rd 4th RB, then I'll take him, otherwise, no.

I'd need to see another bad year before I'm convinced he's done. I'd take him as a 3/4 rb no question.

I probably would also but no way would I draft him as my top back as I did last year

id be willing to take him as a 2nd back honestly

After what he did last yr to me I can't

Some of it is not his fault either. The Ravens would hardly give him carries in some game but his YPC was god awful last year but he only had 20+ carries in 2 games

OK, so if Ray Rice hits his wife on one of the Sundays of the first 2 weeks of the season, can she name the NFL as an accessory to domestic violence? Cause if they didn't suspend him, he wouldn't be at home to hit her. I'm starting to think she begged the NFL to not keep him at home for any longer than they absolutely had to, thus only getting a 2 week suspension.

I could take him in the fifth. What if he does return to first round status? He is only 27.

There is a real bad taste in your mouth about Ray Rice. i mean any man that could put his hands on a woman is no man in my eyes. That said I do believe he is sorry and I believe in second chances and I have to admit I have always been a fan of his, he has helped my teams greatly in the past especially his break out year and the year before when i got him really cheap.

Looks like he is going in the 5th round of drafts and I would have to say that I would take him there believing he will be very motivated to get back in favor with his fans and the world. If he is not 100 percent, full on, all out dedicated this year, knowing his great work ethic, I'd be completely floored if he doesn't rebound. Sorry for all the adjectives!

I hope the wife beater has the most miserable year of his life. Should've been suspended for a year at the very least, if not kicked out altogether. It might have given him a little time to focus that "great work ethic" on his personal life.

I really don't know enough to weigh in on his value as a human being, or to comment on their relationship. This doesn't feel like a Vick or Ray Lewis situation where the problem reflected something embedded deep in their lifestyles.

The question for me is how many steps he's lost. I don't think Pierce is a real threat, so I think Rice will get the touches. I'm just not sure he'll do all that much with them. I'm projecting an improvement over last year, but not a huge one.

(On a side note, the NFL really should drop the nonsense about weed, though. Dock 'em a week's paycheck if you want to be huffy about it, but these huge suspensions for Gordon and Blackmon are simply insane, and make a suspension for something real like the Rice deal look like a paltry punishment in comparison.)

Sorry, in my opinion nothing justifies striking a woman, no matter the state of their relationship. Having said that, I'll abstain from muddying up this thread any further.

Just my two cents. . She went from unconscious and engaged to currently married to the guy. . Who are we to judge what went on and what's going on?? Obviously she's forgiven him, I see no reason why I shouldn't. Not excusing the conduct, just saying no point in hating the guy when the only two people who's opinions matter are apparently happily married.

I'm definitely not going to bother defending that position, but that's where I'm at on it . Very sensitive issue and this isn't the place.

She obviously liked it because she married the guy.

I'm actually considering taking Rice and maybe in the fourth round.
