I will give Crowell this much, he did face tougher competition. I know Coastal Carolina and Ole Miss are not very good (he didn't play or at least has no stats against NMSU). Ray Graham faced Buffalo, Maine, Iowa (which Pitt dominated most of the game and had weak D).
But Crowell also had a far better team around him. UGA was, and is, far better than Pitt.
You do realize that you are comparing a true freshman's stats to a juniors right? Don't forget that Crowell was also injured for most of the season, and shared carries with 2 or 3 other RBs.
If he were on UGA's squad, he would probably start the first few games while our two freshman RBs (Todd Gurley & Keith Marshall) get their feet wet. Just as Ken Malcome and Richard Samuel will be doing this year and just as Richard Samuel & Carlton Thomas did last year.
UGA had 12 different ball rushers last year, excluding the 91 QB rushes.
