HC. A- Fox has brought respect back to the Bears organization from around the league and put together the best staff we had had in a long long time. Players are playing hard for him. Only knock is ( to safe/clock management ).
OC B This is tough, he is too conservative for my taste. But is that because he is? or is he playing it safe because of all the WR & Oline injury's. Or is he conservative because he does not want to put to much on Cutler? I don't know. I'm still feeling Gase out. He has got Jay looking better.
DC A+ This guy is beyond sound coaching wise. He has everyone buying in. Talent level is not there yet, but don't tell him that. This D has first rate plans and players going hard on every down.
STs C- Outside of Robbie G and a good punting the STs have been a let down. Really bad in coverage and return.
I did not rate the GM as that truly takes time to tell, but you can get a feel for the coaching by now. Also I am grading them on a curve. A talent curve. lol It's just football talk and subject to change as more info is collected.

I agree mostly, but I would bump the OC up to an A. With Peyton Manning he was throwing quick passes and screens all day long and it was working. It can work here too. I think he's perfect for cutler right now. If we had a fully healthy white catching screens, I am pretty sure our offense would look an awful lot better. Our problem on offense isn't coaching, our problem is injuries.

It's kind of a bummer though because they might be good enough to get us to play .500 ball and I don't want to get stuck in mediocrity. It's my sole belief that every year that your team is not in the playoffs and not getting a very high draft pick in professional sports is a complete waste of a year. The only exception to this rule is when it is a very young team like the Bucks in the NBA.

OC is hard to judge with all the injurys. I see us going 500% or a little better (after the 0-3). Just because were better coached then other teams.

Leo were not beating GB. Sorry but this is a QB league. I think we have put better teams on the field then GB (in past years) but still lost. It's no longer a team sport.

Okay I'll bite: as one of the resident optimists on the board... overall I'm thrilled with the job the coaches are doing...

Fox: I still don't understand the media's early season obsession with bashing Fox for his handling of injuries and "coach speak". I take it as an experienced move. I always come back to thinking that John Fox knows what he's doing and think that some of the stuff he says or doesn't say has meaning. As fans we may not like the cliches and goofy delivery, but if you look at and read about all his other teams- the players love him. I really can't find many if any bad words about Fox from a players perspective. Some fans and media are critical of his conservative game management style, but with the lack of talent we have I can't dispute it. I also continue to think about the way he handles players and think- What would Trestman have done in this spot or this instance...and I can't help but think it would have ended poorly- in Fox, more often then not...it doesn't end poorly, and at the very least we can look at a call or play and understand why. We couldn't do that last year- how many times did we say- WTF?

Fangio: Over the past 3 games we have seen the D get progressively better and better. We knew it would be a bit of a struggle with the transition to the 3-4 and I was skeptical at first...but he's also winning over players and they are buying in to what he's doing and calling. At this early point in the season I can see with a couple more play makers this defense can make a huge jump. I'm excited to see what he can do with McPhee and others as they get more involved in this D.

Gase: obviously with my Cutler fandom unquestioned on the board I can't be happier with Adam Gase- For once an OC has taken advantage of Jay's abilities. I see a different guy in Cutler this year then in years past. He's bought in along with the rest of team and seeing the leadership qualities that I always knew were there. While the offense has seen a rash of injuries, I'm extremely impressed with what Gase has gotten out of the players he's had to work with. Minus his top 3 WR's, a patchwork Oline and they are still winning- again would Trestman have done anything close to this? No chance. I like that Gase seems genuine in his praise of players and comments. Would love to be a fly on the wall of his chalk talks.

NOTE: I know things aren't as rosy as the picture I've painted above, the talent and health of this team is lacking in many areas... but that's also why I'm so optimistic this coaching staff can get the Bears where we all want them to. Just imagine if they had a full healthy roster of the players we do have...now imagine they add 1 or 2 play makers to each side of the ball and have the current crop continue to build. That will be a thing.
My only concern is losing them to head coaching positions. (though that may be premature at this point in the season)
