Not the point... He's using stats to prove the ATL trio is superior

How do you get stats? That is my point. Also Injuries seem a trend for your guys. I rather have someone who is less talented but plays 16 games and produces more than a more talented guy who plays in 10-14 games.

Which would drop them into my "Missing Pieces" or "Not Sure" categories...

I'd take anyone over fat boy especially Ty's 6 YPC rushing and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield it's a mismatch all day. I think Cook aka Optimus Prime is probably a better threat than Cobb overall since he's 6'5 255 lbs and runs a 4.4 40 and can stretch the field but with Rodgers and Cobb they have more time together at this moment so Cobb would be the third guy with a hurt Jordy. Adams has come along well this year with about 1k yards and 12 TD's but still dropped 3 TD's.

Just for shits & giggles... If I were to extrapolate the stats using averages so that we can see what MIGHT have been produced through a full 16 game season...

Ben
Avg passing yds per game: 272.8
Avg rushing yds per game: 1 (lol)
Total: 273.8
Multiplied by 2 missed games: 547.6

Bell

Avg rushing yds per game: 105.7
Avg receiving yds per game: 51.3
Total: 157
Multiplied by 4 missed games: 628

Brown
Avg receiving yds per game: 85.6
Avg rushing yds per game: 0.6
Avg return yds per game: 32.3
Total: 118.5
1 missed game

So add up the totals would give us an additional 1294.1 yds to add the Pittsburgh's theoretical total...

Not to mention rmilia did not include return yds for AB in his original counts... So it would have been 7173 yds total.

7173 + 1294.1

Final Totals:
Pitt 8467.1 combined yards 51 TDs
Atlanta 8011 combined yards 57 TD'S
Dallas 6839 combined yards 53 TDS

Fair point and I agree. No arguments here because Ben is always banged up and Bell is always smokin the grass. Julio spends his fair share of time injured as well.

Still if I had 1 trio to choose for 1 game only against any opponent, I would take Pittsburgh in a heartbeat.

Forgot to mention that I didn't have any averages for TDs so I couldn't estimate that final total.

forgetting again, missed games by bell, and that AB and bell and ben sat out the last game, cherry pick!

Skewed stats because Ben & Bell were both out for 6 games combined... Bell suspended for 3, Ben hurt for 1, but both sat out week 17. So you can go ahead and throw that argument out the window

Oh and AB sat out week 17 as well. So 7 games combined.
Factoring in missed games for all players the per game average is

Atlanta 523 ypg
Pitt 509
Dallas 489

Luckily the three that we are arguing about are all still in the playoffs. Guess we will get to see who has the better trio if one of them wins it all :suds:

For Dallas and ATL at least, since it won't be our defenses winning the games.

Which, of course, is a big reason why the offenses finished with the stats they finished with...

My numbers are correct. Steelers missed 7 games, Dallas 4, Atlanta 2. Both teams had guys miss parts of games. If you factor in missed time the average per game still favors Atlanta by 14 yards. Easiest way to look at it is the Steelers guys played 13.67 games on average. Dallas 14.67. Atlanta 15.33. Just divide their yards by those games to get their average

No one's bothered by the i before e except after c rule? The whole thread has been rendered meaningless.

Honestly I think our defense ended with the stats they have because of our offense.

If Gronk was healthy would toss Brady,Gronk and Blount in mix but will have to say Pitt again seeing they have the best WR,RB in the game, IMO

Using an average is not even a fair assessment. A qb contributes way more yardage than a wr or rb so you also need to weight it. The best way to do it would be to divide each players contribution to a per game basis than add them together.

Agreed. The Pats may win in depth but not top 3. Brown and Bell are right at the top in their positions and Ben is right there too.
