Don't get you panties in a bunch... I didn't know for sure what the records were those 2 years, I did know that they finished better than 50%. You're the one who didn't research it before you posted that they never finished above 50% under Pelini.

This is how an error in a post is properly corrected.

Well, the FBS college football season actually starts on Wednesday, August 27. The Georgia St Panthers vs The Abilene Christian Wildcats at 6pm CDT on ESPNU. Georgia St is starting it's 2nd year as an FBS school. So that means college football is 41 days away!!! One day closer!!!!

Not some pussy footing around game playing like a little girl. :tsk:

Back to subject.

When referencing "Most successfull programs", Winningest is usually a factor. If looking at "winningest" programs in the last 6 years, I'm surprised where Nebraska comes in.
-------
Winningest IS a factor, but who you beat also counts. During theTO era winning 9 of 10 was a 90% win rate 9 of 11 over an 80% win rate and while it wasn't always true winning that many usually gave us at least a quality win over a quality opponent. Winning 9 of 12 now during the regular season doesn't give us much in the bragging rights department IF none of those wins weren't a victory over a ranked opponent. And winning 9 a year even IF it includes a victory in our bowl doesn't even give us 70% winning level. That's one of the biggest reasons we haven't seen the top 10 at the end of any of
Bo's seasons.

The point of the thread was not to compare Pelini to Osborne in winning percentage or quality wins. We've regurgitated that stuff from every angle for years.

The point of the thread was to show that Bo is keeping Nebraska on pace as one of the winningest programs in CFB history, and keeping pace with Nebraska's all-time winning percentage.

Nebraska all-time - .703
Bo Pelini 6 years - .707

The only Top 20 All-Time Wins FBS teams that have gained ground on #4 Nebraska in the Pelini era are...#5 Ohio St, #6 Oklahoma, #7 Alabama, and #14 LSU.
(I will add that Pelini has wins over Ohio St and Oklahoma)

Teams that have lost ground against Nebraska...#1 Michigan, #2 Texas, #3 Notre Dame, #8 Tennessee, #9 Southern Cal, #10 Georgia, #12 Penn St, #13 Auburn, #14 West Virginia, #15 Syracuse, #16 VA Tech, #17 Texas A&M, #18 GA Tech, #19 Pitt, #20 Washington, et al...

Good work RA, I enjoy readings the stats you bring to the table. Normally I'm not good with numbers and words and stuff however I just mixed my first drink for tonight, so if my figures are correct my % chance that I get pissed tonight just shot up to 100%

Well, if you're "happy" with what we've done being ranked 13th in wins over the last X number of years so be it I'm not. When was the last time we got into a BCS Bowl much less won one? When was the last time we got into a Conference championship game much less won one? When was the last time we were ranked at the end of the season in the top 10?

And btw, if you don't want me using TO then you shouldn't either...You bring up Nebraskas alltime winning percentage and compare it to Bos.. Why do you even think our all time percentage is so high? Beacause of TOs winning percentage (and add in Devaneys too).

When we play teams like Wyoming whom we barely beat and they ran us ragged all over the field, winning nine games a year doesn't mean dog poop. I don't care how many years in a row we do it.

RA likes Bo now

Meh. I don't care for his public antics. However, he is Nebraska's head coach per Shawn Eichorst and Harvey Perlman.

I'm just presenting a different perspective is all.
