1) Pass Defense
- Best secondary in the NFL...best shutdown corner in the game in Sherman...one of the best safeties in all football in Earl Thomas...hardest hitting safety in Kam...and Browner might be one of the most physical corners in the nfl
2) Rushing Attack
- AP is the undisputed #1, but after that you can really make an argument for Marshawn being #2 or #3. He's definitely top 5 though. Overall our offensive line is continually improving and with Turbin as a solid backup and Michaels as a very talented third back, we are very deep at this position. Not to mention the threat of Russell running the ball as well with the read option and his scrambles.
3) Aerial Attack
- Our passing attack is nowhere on the level of Peyton's Broncos or Rodger's Packers but with Russell at the helm and all the weapons we have, it's very likely that we will finish as one of the most efficient passing offenses once again. With the Atlanta game in the playoffs, Russell also showed that when he needs to he can really put up some prolific numbers.
4) Special Teams
- The combination of Percy and Tate returning balls is going to be one hell of a weapon. Our punt game is also one of the best in the league. Hauschka is a pretty solid kicker too, although I don't always have the most confidence in him kicking the crucial late game field goals for some reason.
5) Run Defense
- Losing Alan Branch hurts a little bit but I really like our new young additions...especially Jesse Williams. I'm also going to assume that Red Bryant is going to be healthier this year. He really is our heart and soul up the middle. When Big Red is at full strength, he will anchor our run d. Wagner and KJ will also continue to get better as well, I really like that tandem at the linebacker position.
6) Pass Rushing
- At full strength, this could be one of our biggest strengths. But at this point with Clemons as a question mark returning from his injury and Bruce Irvin being out the first four games, there's a bit of an unknown with what Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett can do to contribute to the pass rush. I'll rank this as 6th to begin the season, but I really see this as a strength that continues to move up the list as the season progresses and could end up being #2 or #3 by the end of the year.
