The Rangers are bringing up Ryan Rua. I am really looking forward to seeing what he can do at this level.

Maybe Hoying can come up Monday.

Aybar was smart for what he did. Also I don't feel bad for the A's, because the countless times I've seen Derek Norris block the plate before he had the ball and never get called out for it.

Also you know this play didn't really affect the outcome of the game.

Rua will tie the major league record for 58th player to play for Texas this year. When Holland starts next Tuesday he will break the record at 59. Go Rangers!!

He is ready.

Yeah, I wanna see what he can do. He's 24, so why not. Just figured they would wait until Sept 1, but now he will be eligible for when they win every game and make the WC game haha jk.

Actually I've think there's been 3 other teams who's had 59, and we'll have to go to 60 to break it.

But it's splitting hairs b/c we'll smoke 60 too.

The old baseball adage is that you can't tell the players without a program. For the Texas Rangers, there may be a little truth to it, as Ryan Rua will become the team's 59th player this season, tying a major league record.

Rua, a rookie first baseman/outfielder, was promoted when outfielder Jim Adduci was placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list. Rua is scheduled to play in Friday night's game against the Houston Astros.

The San Diego Padres twice used 59 players in a season (2002 and 2008), while the Cleveland Indians did it in 2002.

The Rangers will likely break the record, as left-handed starter Derek Holland, who has been out the entire season while recovering from knee surgery, is close to coming off the disabled list.

Yeah that will happen after Sept call ups.

Also I was one off. I read the John Blake tweet wrong. My bad.
