Oooooh hell to the fucking no Calvin Watkins...You've gone and done it this time you ass clown!!!

It’s gotten so bad that Yu Darvish, their ace and the best thing going for this team, is out with right elbow inflammation. His season is probably over now, as it should be.

Is he fucking serious right now? Please tell me this guy is joking...What a piece of trash writer this guy is with zero integrity. You are gonna rip a player for two weeks saying he should be out there and shouldn't be on the DL and blah blah blah....Now you are gonna just breeze over it like it's no big deal? HELL NO! This dude needs to be held accountable for this kind of garbage!!!!!

Outfielder Daniel Robertson is considering spending part of the off-season with Obregon of the Mexico winter league to work on another position: second base. Robertson has appeared at second in one game, for four innings, with the Rangers and seven games in his minor league career. The ability to play another position would enhance Robertson’s value.

How about this one:

Seattle Mariners catcher Jesus Montero, currently rehabbing an oblique injury with the team's Class A Everett AquaSox affiliate, reportedly got into a heated altercation Thursday with a scout from his team.

According to MiLB.com, Montero was coaching first base when the scout yelled at him to hustle off the field at the conclusion of the inning. A game official said the scout then ordered an ice cream sandwich and had it sent to Montero in the dugout.

Montero -- who made news for reporting to spring training 40 pounds overweight this season -- did not appreciate the gesture. He approached the stands with a baseball bat, screaming profanities, and threw the ice cream sandwich at the scout. Montero had to be restrained by the team's pitching coach, according to the game's official scorer.

Good post.

I read this earlier this morning and I wonder if this type of press is doing us any good as an organization.
I just hope it hasn't soured Yu on the team and MLB. He could easily go back to Japanese baseball once he fulfils his contract.

believe he can opt out in 2016 and if this team doesn't do something to improve he probably will. which will allow him to sign with another MLB team or return to Japan for a lot more than the 10M he's scheduled to earn

We have enough going against us without shooting ourselves in the foot with perceived arrogance.

Posters can say what they want, obviously, but the Nolan Ryan episode did nothing positive for us. We have a park which is famously hot, a manager with a questionable past and makes more than questionable decisions, and a GM with an attitude - according to some in the baseball community.

I think he has to finish in the top 4 in Cy Young balloting twice in the next two years or win it once in order to opt out after 2016.

Agree and he is professional to the hilt. He understands all the injuries and what effects it's had on his team. He understands too why he may not pitch again this year. Last but not least he knows FO will be working to get the team back to speed and that's why I don't believe Yu wants to bail or even thinks about it.

Right after JD fires Wash a month from now he needs to approach Yu about an extension.

I didn't realize that the Texas A&M quarterback is the son of former Rangers pitcher Ken Hill.
