17 innings by Colby on the road trip in 2 games while only giving up 2 runs. That will work.

Please tell me Busby didn't say the words "no-hitter".

He couldn't stop talking about it the first 2-3 minutes of the inning. Then Tom's dumbass had to ask him about how it feels and when you start thinking about it, and it was all over

I'm sure Bush and Dyson are doing cartwheels right now with a day off.

I'd love for the players to hear about that. They would not take kindly to that.

Two former players just openly babbling about a no-hitter in progress when they BOTH should know that such talk is forbidden in baseball circles. Even if you don't believe in superstitions or karma, why would you purposely talk about something which you know is going to anger others (especially the players)?

As long as someone isn't mentioning it in the dugout I have no problem with broadcasters or anyone else mentioning it.

Those other 2 seasons were very special in different ways.

Grieve was pretty quiet about it, it was Busby yammering on and and on

Susan Slusser, Oakland's beat writer, with this gem of a tweet: "Rangers win 5-1, but no perfecto, no no-hit, no shutout".

I don't know what's worse, that she's taking it as some kind of brag-worthy victory that they didn't allow history, or that she feels the need to clarify that no shutout took place after she already posted the 5-1 score.

5-1, and you're telling me a shutout didn't occur? What?!?!

Its all the over the top talk about being in baseball immortality and the rest that is too much. I understand they are being paid to comment on the game but mention it and find something else to yammer on about until it is over with

and don't say "perfect game" or "no hitter" until its passed
